This time Fc Barcelona played against Osasuna at home. After a successful Champions League night, the team really needed a win at the league too. Some key players returned to the starting 11, like Messi, De Jong, and Griezmann too. The Frenchman came on from the bench last time and he did well, so he intended to continue that against Osasuna. Let’s see how he did!
Negatives
He had a decent match, so there aren’t many things to complain about. However, there are a few aspects of his game that still needs to be improved. It would be better if he could maintain his good form at the whole match, not just at a few periods of the game. As a playmaker or a false 9, he always has to be useful for the team, not just when he scores or assists. Though, when he plays alongside Messi and Coutinho, It’s difficult to be outstanding at every match.
Positives
He was dangerous from the beginning of the match. The first big chance was from his shot which almost got in the net. The media can say what they want but his connection with Leo Messi is better, match by match. Obviously, it’s not the same that Messi had with Neymar or Suarez, but considering they play at a very similar position, they play well together and find each other on the pitch.
Griezmann scored an absolutely amazing goal, which he needed badly, and it will be good for his confidence too, I’m sure. He also gave a selfless assist to Coutinho, so it’s safe to say he played his best match of the season. Let’s hope he can continue like this.
