This time Fc Barcelona played against Real Madrid at the Camp Nou. Despite the exciting, young starting line up, Koeman and his team couldn’t win the match. Too late changes, awful defending, questionable referee decisions, and many more mistakes caused this defeat. However, the difference between the two teams wasn’t that big, but at the end of the day, Madrid got the three points, not the Catalans. After an injury, Jordi Alba was in the starting eleven immediately. Let’s see how he did!
Positives
He started the match well and his first half was not bad. He gave a very good ball to Ansu Fati, which led to the equalizer. As most of the time, his amazing connection with Messi showed that he still has some good moments at the pitch. Considering he was coming back from injury right away he had a decent 45 minutes.
Negatives
Especially in the second half, the crossings of Jordi Alba weren’t useful. His usual mistakes came back. If Messi doesn’t give him a key pass, he doesn’t know what to do with the ball or even if he knows he can’t achieve that. Furthermore, he constantly arrived late in defending, with this, leaving a huge space behind him. These days, he never fails to disappoint us, to be honest. He becomes exhausted way too early and this match wasn’t an exception either. His assist doesn’t make his performance okay, because he failed to do his obvious job as a left-back, like defending but also being dangerous at attacking.
