Pablo Torre Carral was born on the 3rd of April 2003 in Soto de la Marina, Cantabria. He started playing football at a local team – CD Marina Sport, before joining Racing Santander’s academy in 2015. He started his journey at Racing from Infantil B, making his way through the categories and often seen as the best player. In the 2019/2020 season, he scored 14 goals in his youth category. The same season at the age of 17, he made his debut for Racing’s subsidiary as a starter in Segunda RFEF playoffs semi-final against Gimnástica Torrelavega, playing 69 minutes.
He impressed the first team coach that much that he underwent pre-season in the 2020/2021 season with the first team. Eventually, he debuted for the first team against Club Portugalete in Segunda B, becoming 5th youngest player to do so for Racing in the 21st century. During the season, Pablo managed to pick up 4 goals and 5 assists in 24 games for Racing. Meanwhile, this season he already has 6 goals and 6 assists in First RFEF in 21 games. Pablo Torre has been a regular within Spanish Youth teams appearing for Spain U17 and recently for Spain U19, where in 6 games, he scored 3 goals.

Pablo Torre is a right-footed attacking midfielder, but at Barcelona, he is expected to play as an interior while also capable of playing as a false winger. He has a strong foot, making it seem as if he is ambidextrous. Pablo has extraordinary vision, technique, creativity and passing ability, making him a fantastic playmaker that likes to have freedom on the pitch. Pablo has excellent acceleration, body balance, low centre of gravity, and close ball control that he often uses to dribble past the players while changing directions or de-accelerating the play.
Intelligent, while also press-resistant with great composure and willing to play between the lines, makes him a nightmare to deal with for defenders often finding himself in goal-scoring opportunities. Despite being only 18, Pablo is the main free-kick taker for Racing while scoring a few goals from a long-range. He has excellent defensive ability, is hardworking and always looking to help the team in the defensive phase. Pablo Torre is a midfielder that has Barcelona DNA. The way he plays understands the game can be compared with some ideologies of Barcelona’s famous academy – La Masia.
Future at the club
As of now, it is not known whether Pablo will remain with Racing on loan next season. He might join Barcelona B with expectations of first-team football. However, Pablo has the quality to succeed at Barcelona, but it will depend on his adaptation. However, he will have players like Alejandro Balde or Ilias Akhomach, who are regulars with Spain U19. That will help him assimilate to the team much quicker. Pablo Torre is an extraordinary talent that cules will enjoy watching.
