This week in La Masia, Barcelona B struggle for yet another week. It seems like there were some crucial mistakes in the building of the team. Moreover, there are many injuries currently. Although Barcelona B fail to impress and struggle again, Juvenil B did win their match. However, Juvenil A finished their game in a draw. All of that and more in the weekly report of Arsen.
Barcelona B vs UE Llagostera

Another loss sees Barcelona B drop to 9th position in the group. UE Llagostera started the game dominating the game with a long ball from their defence that reached Guiu who was about to shoot, but thanks to Juvenil A defender Jose Marsa the danger was cleared. Despite Jose making his debut, he looked very solid and did not look out of place in the team, which was one of the positives. In the 9th minute of the game, a great cross from the right side by Konrad reached Zeballos.
Who laid it off with his chest to Illaix, whose shot was blocked by Llagostera defender. In the second half, Barcelona B conceded a goal in the 60th minute. With a fashionable goal from Llagostera’s Cortes who hit a volley right into the top left corner of Barcelona B goal. With Carevic getting a hand into, but not able to keep the ball entering the net. After Collado was subbed in Barca B managed to get into the match. In the 63rd minute of the game, Barcelona B had the ball in the net with a great ball from Collado that reached Manaj, who scored the goal.
Unfortunately, the goal was called off for offside from Ray Manaj. In the 87th minute of the game, Barca B got a questionable penalty, which was taken by Jandro. The goalkeeper did well to save that penalty to keep a clean sheet and have their team end the game with 3 points. One of the great surprises of the game was Nico who played at the double pivot and did pretty well. Barcelona B will face Espanyol B this weekend.

Juvenil A – San Francisco:

Juvenil A drop points yet again with another 1-1 draw. Franc Artiga lined-up his team in a 3-4-3 formation despite dominating the game, as the youngster weren’t able to pick the win away at Palma de Mallorca. Juv A started with a great chance from Ilias Akhomach making a phenomenal solo run from the right side with the goalkeeper saving his shot in the 9th minute. And just a few moments later San Francisco could open the scoring with a free-kick, however, the eventual header went over the goal.
The second half saw more action with multiple chances going for both teams. In the 49th minute, some bit of skill from Gavi opened a great chance for the team. Jaume Jardi managed to get the ball from Gavi and passed it to Angel, whose shot was just wide from the post. And a few moments later Juvenil A managed to score the first goal of the game with a corner kick taken short between Txus Alba and Ilias. Eventually, Txus Alba was able to find Jardi who chipped the goalkeeper scoring a beautiful goal.
And in the 59th minute, San Francisco managed to equalize with the defence lacking some concertation. With free-kick just outside the box was scored by Quetglas. Juvenil A was dangerous throughout the half and looking for the winning goal with a great chance in the 82nd minute of the game. Diego Lopez and Ilias combined nicely together before Diego put his effort just out wide.

Juvenil B – Nàstic de Manresa:

Juvenil B came out victorious from yet another game, winning it 2-1. The first opportunity for the youngsters came in from a free-kick, taken by Fermin a great cross reached Pol, who wasn’t able to keep his shot low and his effort went over the goal. It didn’t take long for another chance as Juvenil B opened the scoring in the 7th minute of the game with a cross from the left-back Alex Valle, whose cross eventually reached Victor Barbera, who put Juv B ahead.
Visitors didn’t give and looked for an equalizer before the end half ended. Their biggest chance came with a great run from Nastic left-winger who made an outstanding cross to the box, but Valle managed to intercept it. The rebound reached Nastic defender, however, his shot was poor. In the second half, Barcelona continued to dominate the game. It took them only 7 minutes into the second half to score their second and decisive goal.
A great effort by Fermin to dribbled past players and reached Aleix Garrido with a great long ball, who comfortably put the ball into the net. And just one minute later Nastic were back in the game, with a corner. A great cross reached Gimnastic Manresa player Pol Culell who tapped it into Juvenil B goal.
Despite the effort, Arnau Rafus misread the situation. He came out of his goal too early with him not able to reach the ball. A few moments later Jordi Coca and Fermin Lopez combined nicely on the right side. Jordi provided a cross to Victor, which was intercepted by Nastic defence. After 5 games Juvenil B is at the top of the group. Moreover, they are with 15 points, scoring 12 and conceding only 3. Next Juvenil B will face Vilaseca who are the bottom of the group with only 2 goals scored and conceded 15 in 5 matches so far.
