New day, new match. After two convincing victories against Ferencvaros & Osasuna, the form has to continue in order to keep up in La Liga with the top spots we must occupy as soon as possible. We are facing Cadiz, promoted this season but far from week. One of the best space closers in the League, there will be no place to maneuver. Barcelona will have to be inventive, accurate and clear on their intentions to ensure a comfortable win in black jerseys at Cadiz. With a tight month of December, every win is crucial, and injuries hit hard. Both in the attack and the defense, where Koeman is deprived of Ansu Fati & Gerard Piqué.

Placed at sixth place and one point above us, the clash is crucial to return to higher places. Cadiz aren’t the best attackers, but they are excellent defenders. With a low block, they don’t often let the opponent break through their lines. They like to cut passing lanes to avoid much trouble in their box. Yet, the key remains to score against them, which is no easy task. Even the mighty Real Sociedad, leaders, couldn’t score more than one. On the other hand, Cadiz isn’t in such good form and they will surely look to also grab points vs Barcelona.

At seventh, Barcelona are still seeking to regain their contender status. If Koeman’s men performed in every Champions League match, the league season so far is far from a fairy tale. A loss against Atlético meant that Koeman already lost against Real Madrid and Atlético, far from great. However, it’s against Osasuna and Ferencvaros that the team has best performed, notably with players like Dembele and Griezmann playing well match after match. While these were “low” opposition, Cadiz could prove to be a real challenge. The Catalans will see themself forced to play accurately in order to create quality chances, and finally, score. For this, Koeman will need everyone’s best.
