Coach Xavi Hernandez seems to enjoy the start of his coaching career. The legendary midfielder has been named the Qatar Stars League best coach in August and September 2019. Therefore, Tikitakaxbarca thinks that we should encourage ourselves with that.
His Al Sadd collected 12 points in four matches during this time. They also scored 16 goals and conceded just four.
Apart from the local league, Al Sadd had a bright Asian Champions League campaign.
Xavi’s side produced a spectacular comeback to beat Al Nasr in the quarterfinals. After the 2-1 first-leg defeat, they managed to beat their opponents 3-1 in the reverse fixture.
Al Sadd suffered a painful 4-1 loss at the hands of Al Hilal in the semi-finals on October 1. However, there is always hope for yet another comeback. The second leg will be in October 22nd.
Xavi has recently stated it would be a dream to take over at Barcelona as he wouldn’t mind coaching his former teammates, including Leo Messi.
Xavi explains he perfectly knows his former Barca partners which would make it easier to coach them: “I know how they train, their capacity for leadership, I can tell if they are sad or angry. I hope as a coach I could have three, five, eight or 10 players that I already knew and that I already had a good relationship with.” Xavi remains an all-time legend at Barcelona. As a player, he won the Champions League four times. In total, he made 769 appearances for the Catalans and scored 85 goals.
Gain the needed experience Mister coach Xavi, and comeback soon to save us.
