According to @fansjavimiguel [as], everything indicates that El Clásico was the last match of Ousmane Dembélé for Barcelona. His departure from the club, either in a friendly way or entering into belligerence with everyone, seems like a matter of days if not hours.
@gerardromero [Jijantes] adds that Ousmane Dembelé informed Barça that he is not going to renew under Barça’s conditions. Therefore, the club is planning to act quickly and first will inform the player that the renewal offer is withdrawn. Moreover, Barça will lower his release clause and communicate to Ousmane Dembélé that he will not play for Barça again.
According to revernt reports, Dembelé asks for around €200m gross for 5 years: with commissions of €20m for the agent and €20m for the player. However, Barça has doubts that another club can pay them those amounts. Dembelé doen’t want to leave in January and will leave for free in the summer.
However, Ousmane Dembélé considers that he is a world-class player and should be paid as such. But those figures are unaffordable for the club.
‘Transfer Karma’ Strikes Again
Just few days ago, FC Barcelona said goodbye to Philippe Coutinho, who left for Aston Villa. Just like the Brazilian, Ousmane Dembélé is also a player that cost a lot of money for the club, and is part of the main factors that led to the current financial mess.
Moreover, the way that both Coutinho and Dembélé forced their way to Barcelona was very bad. It made the club ‘Burn Bridges’ with their former clubs, and pretty much upset many people. And it’s a real ‘poetic justice’ that both of them failed so miserabely in Barcelona. It’s really a result of the bad management that brought them in.
Hopefully, with both Dembélé and Coutinho out this summer, we’ll have a chance to start at new. And hopefully no more bad Karma deals for us under the current board.
