La Masia has produced some of the world’s best footballers. The 2004 generation, which includes Gavi, Ilias, Alarcón, Víctor Barberà, Aleix Garrido, and Arnau Casas, is one of the most successful in recent years. Arnau Casas, a central defender already made his debut in the pre-season with Xavi Hernández. He played against Olot in the first friendly of the season. In La Masia they consider him as a key player in this generation. However, his contract expires in June, and the club has yet to make a move regarding his future.
Arnau Casas’ uncertain future
Arnau Casas, who hails from Sant Cugat, is waiting to hear about his future. However, the club has yet to make a decision. He may be free to move on this summer, like his teammates Ilias Akhomach and Víctor Barberá, who is a goalscorer for the reserve team. Many teams, both in LaLiga and in major European leagues, are interested in him. He is a raw diamond that will be available for free, and clubs are keeping a close eye on him.
A central defender with an elegant style
Arnau Casas is a different kind of central defender than what Barcelona may be looking for. The club seems to prefer a more Araujo-like profile for its reserve team next season. Arnau Casas, on the other hand, has a more elegant style. He is very much a product of Barça’s DNA, has excellent ball control and reads the game well.
A highly-regarded player in all of Spain’s youth teams
Arnau Casas started at Barcelona’s Infantil B team after joining from Damm. He is one of the Juvenil A team’s captains, a leader on and off the field, and a regular in all of Spain’s youth teams under Santi Denia. He played every minute of the Ronda Élite in March, and if all goes well, he will be a regular on the national team that will compete in the European Championship in July.
