Phil Neville, current coach of Inter Miami and former player of Manchester Utd hinted at the great interest in signing this summer Leo Messi and Sergio Busquets. Both end their contract at the end of the season.
The coach of David Beckham’s club, gave an interview for the British medium ‘The Times’: “I am not going to deny the speculations about our interest in Lionel Messi and Sergio Busquets. We want to bring the best players in the world to this club. Messi and Busquets are some of the most prominent in recent years. They are great players and it would be a step forward for our institution, as well as it would change the game in MLS.”
Inter Miami already had great players like Gonzalo Higuain and Blaise Matuidi. Furthermore, they were also been related to other stars in the European arena. Neville has declared that the arrival of these players would make the competition grow a lot.
“Since I joined Miami, I think we’ve been linked with all the best players in world of football. Sergio Ramos, Robert Lewandowski, Willian, Cesc Fàbregas, Luis Suárez…” highlighted the Englishman.
And in the last months the rumors have been increasing while new faces reached the United States. A league that European players are taking more and more into account when it comes to continuing their career. Riqui Puig, Bernardeschi, Insigne or Chiellini are the most notorious latest arrivals.
