Ousmane Dembele is out of contract for 3 days now. We still don’t know if the club will renew him. As we already know, Dembele is a bit on an enigma. And once again, he manages to surprise the fans, as he’s stalling his decision.
A week ago there were reports that suggested the club would drop the offer for him. But yesterday President Laporta assured that there’s no time limit. However, the club will not offer him more than the offer he already has.
Barcelona are trying to have a new salary structure, and it takes some bold decisions in the process. The club already knows that giving in to players like Dembele will not be a good idea. At times when others accept Barcelona’s offers despite other teams offering more, we need to encourage that. And giving in to what the Frenchman is asking will not do that.
