Match day 8 in La Liga is here and it’s come round quickly again. Only 3 days after our last game, we’re back in action tonight with another league game and yet another away game. This time against Osasuna. It was a tough and physical match in midweek vs Getafe, so changes are and should be expected for tonight’s game. Live from 9pm local time, it’s Barcelona vs Osasuna. Let’s get straight to the preview.
A Quick Look at our opponents:
Osasuna have made themselves a staple side in La Liga over the last few years. Playing so,e great football, overachieving in the league and reaching the Copa Del Rey final only a couple seasons ago. Osasuna are always a tricky opponent, especially away from home, it can easily become a very hostile atmosphere. Unexpectedly they are having a great start to the season, sitting in 7th place. 3 wins, 2 draws and the same number of losses, only 2 points off of Athletic Club too. So like I said, they’re comfortably a mid table team nowadays, with some class players too. Notably for me, one of their key players would have to be Aimar Oroz and of course their talisman upfront Budimir. These are amongst the many players who we’re going to have to keep an eye on.
Preeicted lineup:
As we head into how the lineup could look like, I think there will be a few changes from the last few days ago. And I think there has to be too. Lamine Yamal, Raphinha and even Iñigo Martínez have played a lot of minutes so far this season with barely any rest. And with a game every 3 days now and another international break around the corner, we need to be careful and smart with resting and rotating our key players. Osasuna are going to be a tricky team to break down, but I still feel like changes are needed. Pedri is expected to return to the starting lineup after starting from the bench against Getafe. Cubarsi may also get a rest after a tough battle on Wednesday, but I would definitely be looking at resting Yamal and if possible, Raphinha too. With Pau Víctor and Ansu coming into replace them. Casado will also most likely return to the starting lineup alongside Eric Garcia.
My starting 11:
Pena
Kounde- Cubarsi- Iñigo- Balde
Eric- Casado
Víctor- Pedri- Ansu Fati
Lewandowski
