One of the names on the exit ramp for this season is Nico Gonzalez. The priority of the club and the player is to leave on loan and without option to buy or with an affordable price for his return. According to Sport, the team that has more possibilities to take Nico González is the Portuguese team Porto.
Nico González had hopes of being an option for the midfield. But the board and Xavi have a different vision, with the signing of Oriol Romeu around the corner, less chances are left for the youth player to play minutes this season.
The best thing for the player is to go out on loan to a team where they give him enough minutes to continue adding games to his record. One of the interested parties was Betis, but with the arrival of Marc Roca and Alex Collado, the midfield is already full. Porto is the option that most attracts him, because it is a team that will play Champions League.
Nico González – Not ready yet?
Last season he played in Valencia, and had good minutes. However, he missed few months due to injuries. In Valencia, Nico González won the confidence of the coaches for his maturity. The minutes he played at Barcelona were up to par. But the excellence demanded is a lot. That is why the board of directors looked for other options.
Right now, all options are on the table. For the moment Nico González will go to the Tour of the United States. Meanwhile, his future will be resolved. Another team interested and that is trying so far to convince him is Girona, just to replace Oriol Romeu. So far it is an unknown where he will end up, it is expected to be resolved in the coming days.
