Tonight, Inter Milan will play at the Camp Nou (9:00 p.m.) with the intention of securing their place in the round of 16 of the UEFA champions league. However, the ‘Nerazzurro’ does not have the statistics in their favor. Out of the five games they played away from their home, they only managed to win two so far this season.
The squad commanded by Simone Inzaghi only emerged victorious in a match played away from home so far in Serie A, against Sassuolo (1-2). It was the last game before facing the Blaugrana tonight. Before this win, the Milanese team lost all their games away from the San Siro so far, against Lazio (3-1), Milan (3-2) and Udinese (3-1), conceding three goals in each of the three games.
In the Champions League, Inter won the away game vs Victoria Plzen by 0-2. This was the only game that the Italian team played away from home in European competition before traveling to Barcelona. Despite the advantage they achieved with last week’s match at the San Siro (1-0), the numbers are not so favorable for the Italian team away from home. Tonight, they will face a Barca with a full Camp Nou behind them.
The statistical negative Inter Milan contrasts with the good dynamics of the FC Barcelona away from the Camp Nou. The azulgrana team has managed to win four of the six games away from home so far this season. Despite this, the two defeats for the culé team came in Champions league. One against Bayern (2-0) and the other vs Inter (1-0). The Blaugrana are on the edge of the abyss and with the need to win yes or yes the ‘final’ tonight at Camp Nou.
