It looks like Xavi Hernandez can finally get some air. After a week of bad news, with the injuries of four of his 18 internationals due to the FIFA virus (Araujo, Koundé, Memphis and Frenkie de Jong); Plus the one of Hector Bellerin, who was confirmed yesterday that he will be KO for three to four weeks due to a soleus injury. Now, the coach will at least be able to celebrate a return.
The first player to return is Sergio Roberto, who just before the national team break was the only Barça player in the injurt list. The Right Back is feeling good and aims to be a starter against Real Mallorca in Son Moix this Saturday. Now Xavi won’t need to improvise with a right side spot against Mallorca.
Sergio Roberto started in the match Champions before him Victoria Plzen on September 7. But he could not complete the game. Afterwards, he missed the last three games of Barca (Cadiz, Bayern and Elche) due to some discomfort on the tendon of Achilles. Although Xavi wants to test him in this afternoon’s session, Roberto is feeling well and there’s optimism about him being able to help the team in Son Moix.
