Keira Walsh will join Barcelona. According to SPORT, the Catalan club finally reached an agreement with Manchester City to sign the midfielder for a record fee of around €400,000.
Barça worked hard on the deal, that was not easy to complete. Manchester City didn’t want to let the England international leave.
But Walsh’s insistence to join Barça, though, allowed the two clubs to finally reach an agreement. Meanwhe, the transfer window is set to close on tonight for Femeni teams.
She is currently with the England national team but will travel to Barcelona in the coming days to finalise the move.

Sources close to the negotiations confirmed the deal is worth around €400,000. This is a record amount for Barça to spend on a player for the women’s team.
Walsh, 25, became a firm target for Barça after Alexia Putellas was ruled out for the majority of the season with an ACL injury.
It will be interesting to see if Keira Walsh could fill the shoes of ‘the queen of Europe’. But for sure, she can do a great job.
The Barça Femeni will have an interesting season. The team made many changes, and there are new faces that joined. Moreover, the absence of Alexia will be the biggest challenge.
