OFFICIAL : Samuel Umtiti moves on loan to Lecce

After weeks of searching for a way out, the Catalan club finally found a place for him. The Italian club will pay part of the player’s wages.

Thus ends an exit saga that went on for months. Continuous injuries kept him out of the team, eroding Xavi’s faith in him.

The Frenchman will have prominence in Lecce. Hopefully this new adventure that will help him get back to having good feelings.

The loan deal with the Italian has no option to buy. Samuel Umtiti will return from Lecce to Barça next season.

Samuel Umtiti, once one of the best defenders in the world, will have a chance to revive his career at the Seria A. He has a contract until 2026, but Barça can terminate it next summer.

Now, Barca management are now working on the sales of Dest and Braithwaite. Aubameyang and Memphis are also close to leaving.

With less than a week left in the transfer window, we should expect the next moves of the club to be fast. By next week the club would like to have everyone ready for action.

And from that point, the pressure goes to Xavi, who will have to make all of this work.
