With just under two weeks to run in the transfer market, Barcelona have a lot of operations open. The exits of Memphis Depay and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang are two. The Dutchman is close to Juventus and Chelsea are keen on Aubameyang.
Moving those two players on would allow Barcelona to register defender Jules Kounde, the only one of their new signings not yet signed up with LaLiga.
The signing of Marcos Alonso, closed a while ago, would also be made official — and Mateu Alemany could work on other signings, such as a right-back and possibly Bernardo Silva.
Those hopes would be boosted by the sale of Sergiño Dest, with negotiations ongoing with Manchester United, and now another departure has been mooted: Miralem Pjanic.
The Bosnian midfielder earned the right to stay Barça, per coach Xavi Hernandez. But interest from French club Nice could test that opinion.
Per ‘footmercato’, Nice have made contact with Barça to sound out Pjanic’s situation. They have not yet presented a formal offer.
