Manuel Mañós Gonzalbo was a member of the Club since September 5, 1932. He was FC Barcelona’s membership number 1 holder when he passed away at 101 years of age. The club expressed its condolences to his family and friends through social media.
Manuel Mañós holded of member number 1 since February 11, 2019, after the previous holder passed away. It was Josep Maria Selva Vallespinosa, a member since January 3, 1931, who had this honour prior to him.
Manuel Maños held member number 1 for four years before he passed away. May he rest in peace.
In his life, Gonzalbo will saw some legendary players for Barcelona, including Johan Cruyff, Diego Maradona, Romario, Ronaldo, Rivaldo, Ronaldinho, and Lionel Messi.
In 2007, President Joan Laporta decorated him to honor his 75 years as a socio of the Catalan club. The club release this statement: “We are sorry to announce the death of Manuel Mañós Gonzalbo, holder of the number 1 of FC Barcelona, at the age of 101 years. He had been a member of the club since September 5, 1932. Our sincere condolences to his family and friends. May he rest in peace“.
