Lenglet set for Tottenham. Loan without an option to buy – Report

Rumors of Clément Lenglet leaving Barcelona is something that the Barcelona fans hear for years. Eventually, Lenglet will leave Barcelona to Tottenham on a single-year loan. Fabrizio Romano had all the details this morning.

The most annoying part is that he’s going to be back at Barca next summer. Barcelona will have a whole summer more of rumors with the lad. We can just hope he finds some form under Conte and they make things permanent.

Reminder: Lenglet signed a contract in the last day of Bartomeu era. Therefore, it’s a ‘Bartomeu Contract’ that increases every year. Moreover, his contract is up until 2026. We will have to cross our fingers and hope that Tottenham will buy him after this season.

Lenglet looks like a good guy, and hopefully he’ll find his good form back. He did respect his own profession by not accepting to sit on the bench, unlike others in the squad. He wants to be a part of France NT in the world Cup. And for that he has to play.

Lenglet leaving to Tottenham is great news for us Barcelona fans. Many of us felt afraid every time he got into the field. But he did arrive to Barcelona as a respectable defender. Hopefully the 3 at the back formation of Conte would suit him.
