Defense

GK: Ter Stegen – 5.5/10 It is difficult to put all the blame on Ter Stegen for the goals conceded, as the defenders have a higher share of the blame. Also, not to mention that both goals conceded were hard to stop, but that does not mean Ter Stegen was good, or even decent. In reality Ter Stegen is declining, it is hard to admit it, but he has been poor all season, and a majority of last season too.

RCB: Araujo – 7/10 A decent performance from the young defender, he was solid on both sides, but it wasn’t a standout performance.

LCB: Lenglet – 6.5/10 His ball distribution is top notch, but his defending is not so much.

CB: Eric Garcia – 6/10 Not the best of nights for the youngster, his tackles need to be timed correctly. Therefore, Improvement is required.

Midfield

RM: Gavi – 9/10 Some people really need to remember the fact that Gavi is just only 17. Therefore, is simply unexplainable how good a player can be at this age. He was a menace in midfield, and his creativity was superb. Left the night with his first Barca goal and an assist to his name.

CM: Busquets – 7/10 The Captain did his job well, his passing was seen as exceptional. Great performance from him, but it looks like he would need rest, sometime soon.

CM: Frenkie De Jong – 6/10 De Jong was seen moving forward a lot more, but throughout the game his influence on the match was non-existent.

LM: Alba – 6.5/10 Played in a more central area, his passing was good, but his defending? Not so good.

Attack

RW: Dembele – 7.5/10 A direct threat towards Elche’s backline, Dembele looked very much explosive on the flank, as he created a handful of chances, and ended the match with an assist to his name. Therefore, his is what Xavi wants from him, and more is expected to come.

ST: Jutgla – 7/10 A great header scored from a corner. Jutgla played well. Furthermore, he was excellent in linking up with others.

LW: Abde – 7.5/10 Abde, much like Dembele, was a menace on the wide area of the pitch. is dribbling was immense, and could’ve had more impact on the game.

Substitutes

Nico Gonzalez – 7.5/10 Coming on for Jutgla, he scored a stunner, and his pressure on the opposition was helpful.

Puig – 6/10 Was decent in his time given, as he was to distribute the ball.
