1920 – Barcelona 4-4 Real Union in Barcelona in Copa del Rey semi-final first leg. 5-4 on aggregate.
1926 – Barça wins their fourth and final game in their Copa del Rey group 3-0 at home to Zaragoza and go through to the quarterfinals.
1943 – Barça beat Granada 3-2 away and finish the season in third place. Martin (2) and Cesar the scorers.
1967 – Hector Scarone dies
1993 – Lluís Carreras makes his first team debut appearing in a 3-0 home success against CD Logroñés, in what would be his only first division match of the season.
2019 – FC Barcelona go ahead 2-0, go down 4-2 and come back for a 4-4 win away at Villarreal.

1925 – Barça beat Stadium de Zaragoza 8-0 at home in the Copa del Rey to finish top of Group I and qualify for the semifinals.
1931 – Barça beat Real Madrid 3-1 at Les Corts, Juan Ramon scoring a hat-trick.
1936 – Barça are beaten 5-2 by Athletic Bilbao in La Liga. Enrique Fernandez with both Barça goals.
1942 – Barcelona beat CD Castellon 3-1 and end the season in 12th place. Goals from Bravo, Gracia and Martin.
1953 – Moreno scores the only goal of the game as Barça beat Real Madrid 1-0 at home.
1978 – Barça a suffer a 4-0 defeat at the Bernabéu.
1990 – Played at Luis Casanova (Valencia), Barça beat Real Madrid 2-0 with two second half goals in the Copa del Rey final. Scorers: Amor (68), Julio Salinas (90). Real Madrid have just won their fifth league in a row. Cruyff stuck to a 3-4-3 system and the game effectively saved his job and that of Núñez.
Barça fans met at train station by Ultras-Sur armed with bricks from a local building site. Hierro is sent off and Aloisio stretchered off after an assault by Hugo Sanchez. Madrid captain Chendo laments that “what hurts most of all is that the King’s Cup has been won by a team that’s not Spanish”. The game is stopped several times due to objects being thrown on pitch by Barça supporters at Francisco Buyo’s goal. During the victory lap of Barcelona with the Copa del Rey, Zubizarreta is hit in the head with a bottle, preventing him from participating in the celebration of his team.

1929 – Barça win the first Liga derbi with Espanyol 1-0 at Les Corts, Sastre with the goal.
1957 – Barça wins the second game with CD Condal 5-0 at Les Corts, this time as the home team.
1968 – A funeral chapel is erected for those wishing to pay respects after death of Barça’s Uruguayan defender Julio César Benítez. Over 150,000 visit.

1888 – The Barcelona Universal Exposition (Spain’s first International World’s Fair) begins today, running until December 8 later that year.
1901 – Joan Gamper scores 8 as Barça win at home to Club Franco-Espanyol 14-0 in the Campionat de Catalunya. Parson (3), Blak (2) and A. Witty the other scorers.
1928 – Barça beat Real Union Club 3-2 in the Copa del Rey to finish top of Group 3 on goal difference and go through to the quarterfinal.

1919 – Paulino Alcantara scores the ‘police goal’ against Real Sociedad at Les Corts. A policeman somehow got in the way of the shot, the power of which sent both ball and policeman to the back of the net.

1952 – Kubala scores a hat-trick as Barça beat Malaga 7-0 away in the Copa quarterfinal first leg. Cesar (2) and Vila (2) other scorers.
1960 – Barça are again defeated 3-1 by Real Madrid, this time at the Camp Nou, as they are knocked out of the European Cup in the semi final.
1988 – Squad held a public address of no confidence at the Hesperia hotel. The players call for the president to resign in dispute over who should pay an extra tax levied on their wages and dissatisfaction over Núñez’s leadership
1991 – Isaac Cuenca is born. Made 16 Liga appearances for the club from 2011-14, scoring 2 goals.
2011 – Lionel Messi scores twice as Real Madrid are defeated 2-0 at the Bernabéu in the Champions League semi-final.
2012 – Manager Pep Guardiola announces he will leave the club at the end of the season. Tito Vilanova will replace him.
2014 – Barcelona are able to dedicate a win to recently deceased Tito Vilanova as they come back from 2-0 down to beat Villarreal 3-2 away.
2018 – Andres Iniesta announces his departure from the club.
2019 – Lionel Messi wins his 10th Liga title and first as captain as Barcelona defeat Levante 1-0.

1935 – Barcelona draw 1-1 away at Valencia and finish the season in sixth place.
1940 – Barcelona beat Racing Santander 3-1 in the final game of the season and end the season in 9th place.
1968 – Real Sociedad hold Barça to a 1-1 draw as Barcelona finish second in La Liga to Real Madrid.
2003 – Interim president Enric Reyna agrees to keep Radomir Antic at the club for another season.
2015 – Barcelona defeat Getafe 6-0 at Camp Nou with goals from Messi (2), Suarez (2), Neymar and Xavi.

1939 – Foncho is born. Made 92 Liga appearances for the club from 1960-67.
1951 – Ladislao Kubala is finally allowed to officially debut for Barça, having signed in 1950, in a 2-1 Cup win against Sevilla. 2-1 win in 1/8 finals.
1984 – Barça beat Atletico Madrid 2-1 but end the season a point off champions Real Madrid.
1998 – FC Barcelona wins its 24th Copa del Rey title, beating Mallorca 5-4 on penalties, after a 1-1 draw following extra time in the final. Rivaldo with the goal.
2012 – FCB Futsal wins its 17th consecutive European title.
2012 – Seydou Keita scores Barça’s 100th league goal in Pep’s final season as coach as Rayo Vallecano are defeated 7-0. First game since Pep announced his departure at end of season. For the 3rd time in history, Barcelona have now scored 100 goals in the Spanish league in one season.
2016 – Manel Vich, the Camp Nou stadium announcer for six decades, dies.
2017 – Suarez (2) and Rakitic score as Barcelona go away to city rivals Espanyol and win 3-0.
2018 – Barcelona wrap up a seventh Liga title in ten years with a 4-2 win at Deportivo.
2023 – Lamine Yamal made his first team debut against Real Betis. At 15 years, 9 months and 16 days old, he was the youngest youngest player to make a Barcelona appearance
April 30
1961 – Real Oviedo beat Barça 5-3 at Camp Nou as the club finish in 4th place. Villaverde, Maranon, Tejada with the goals.
1976 – Rexach and Barça complete a Clásico Liga double over Madrid with a 2-0 victory in the Bernabéu. Juan Carlos Heredia the other scorer for Barça.
1988 – Lobo Carrasco puts Barça ahead in the first minute at the Camp Nou before Gary Lineker scores in the Clásico once more in the seventieth minute to earn Barça a 2-0 win over Madrid.
1989 – Barça beat Real Oviedo 7-1 at home in La Liga with goals from Salinas (3), Beguiristain (2), Roberto, and Eusebio.

2003 – Sandro Rosell meets with Ronaldinho at a Brazil match in Mexico and asks him to consider a move to Barcelona as part of the new team, saying the apparent Beckham deal is a misnomer.
2003 – Initial polls suggest Bassatt is the clear favourite for presidency, with 42% of votes – nearest to this just 6%.
2006 – Valencia beat Alaves 3-0 to keep Barça’s title celebrations on hold.
