Chadi Riad, current Barça Atlétic player have landed in Sevilla to formalize his move to Betis, alongside former Barça player Marc Bartra. They arrived together at San Pablo airport from Barcelona. In the next few hours Real Betis should make their signings official.
Chadi Riad had a good season with Barça Atletic and with his national team. He knows the positional game, has a lot of intelligence and strength. He impressed Rafa Marquez, was a starter in many of the matches in 1st RFEF. Moreover, Chadi Riad made his first team debut under Xavi.
Valuable experience at Betis
However, due to his youth, Barça looked for a team in which he will have experience. Therefore, Chadi is about to close his move to the Sevillian team. The final figures of the operation are not yet known. But sooner rather than later it will be known, as we are hours away from its officialization.
The Moroccan central defender had a great season in Rafa Marquez’s team. He played 35 games and scored 2 goals. Furthermore, he was called up several times by Xavi thanks to his good performances. In total he played 2,841 minutes. He made his debut in the Morocco U23 national team, last June 30, playing two matches in the final phase of the African Cup.
We wish Chadi Riad a very good luck in Betis. Hopefully, we’ll see him shine there, and returning to Barcelona in the future.
