Just a quick one today for the match preview. We’ll be releasing a season review soon so stay tuned for that. But it’s match day 38 of La Liga, which means tonight’s game against Celta is our final game of the season. Overall, it’s been a great season, especially domestically. We won the league with 4 games to go and that’s all down to the incredible efforts this team has put in all season. In Europe we have to improve, but we can be so proud of how our league season has gone. Especially with all the agendas and problems off the field.
A quick look at our opponents:
Now, although tonight’s game doesn’t matter to us, it still doesn’t take away the meaning of the game for our opponent. Our rivals for this evening go by the form of Celta Vigo. We are travelling away to Balaidos, to a team that could potentially facing relegation. So all I’ll say, is that its good we wrapped up the league early.
We’ve basically got the pichichi wrapped up for Lewandowski, so there’s one more record we can break tonight. And that’s for Ter Stegen. Hes nailed on to get the Zamora, but all he needs is one more clean sheet to break the league and European record for the most clean sheets in a single season. It sounds simple, but there’s only one man standing in the way of that happening. Iago Aspas. A player that doesn’t turn up for most other games, but whenever he faces us, the inner Lionel Messi comes out. So it’s definitely not going to be a walk in the past.
Predicted Lineup:
Pedri, Araujo are left out once again as they start their early vacations. Balde also picked up an injury so he wont be available for the final game. And most importantly, club legends Busi and Alba are left out of the squad as they played their final game for Barca last weekend. Apart from that, we’ve got a fully fit team. And for our final game, Xavi has called up some exciting talents, such as Pau Prim, Unai Hernandez and Dani Rodriguez. So it’ll be interesting to see whether any of them get a start.
Ansu had a brilliant game last weekend, scoring a brace and proved that he still has the talent. It’s a confidence thing with Ansu, so hopefully he can continue building on that with a start today.
My Starting lineup:
Ter Stegen
Roberto- Kounde- Christensen- Alonso
Gavi- Frenkie- Torre
Dembele- Lewandowski- Ansu
