FC Barcelona announced this Wednesday the renewal of Bruna Vilamala (20 years old) until 2026. The striker formed in the youth academy was the last of the eight players whose contract ended this season that had yet to be renewed and with this signing the club guarantees the continuity of the entire squad for at least one more season.
The attacker had a contract until the end of the season. However this Wednesday afternoon rhe club secured continuity for three more years with the president Joan Laporta and the vice president rafael yuste in the office of the presidency of the Camp Nou.
Since her official debut with the first team, in the 2019/20 season, Bruna played 40 games, in which she scored 20 goals. Recently she left behind a serious injury from which she reappeared at the end of 2022. She is gradually rediscovering herself with the best level she had before the injury.
The footballer assured in statements to Barça TV that “I’ve been here half my life and I’m very happy to be able to renew for three more years. La Masia gave me everything. They’ve seen me grow as a person and as a footballer”. She also added that “my teammates are the best players in the world. So it is a privilege to share a dressing room with them. I am very happy to be able to do it”.
Lastly she commented that “I couldn’t wait to go back because I saw that everything was being promoted a lot. When you’re playing you enjoy yourself much more”.
