FC Barcelona secures a good amount of money with the outcome of the group stage of the Qatar World Cup. 14 of Barça’s 17 players made it to the round of 16, which will mean a guaranteed minimum income of 2,926,000 Million Euros. The figure could rise. For Christensen, Ter Stegen and Araujo the club will receive 209,000 Euris per player.
Any player who reaches the quarterfinals will earn 265,000 euros for his team. Furthermore, those who reach the semifinals will fill the Bank accounts of their clubs with 304,000 euros.
The compensation that FIFA distributes to the clubs for assigning their footballers can reach a maximum amount of up to 350,000 euros, approximately, per footballer. The maximum amount is received for reaching the finals.
