A Barcelona and Spain NT legend, Gerard Pique is someone that for many years was part of our lives. As a grandson of former board member Amador Bernabeu, Gerard had a connection to the club since he was a little kid.
As a La Masia player, ‘Geri’ was part of the wonderful Juvenil A team alongside Cesc Fabregas and one Leo Messi.
Afterwards, Gerard moved to Man Utd, where he spent few years. Eventually, Pique returned when Pep took charge as the coach in 2008.
14 years later, Gerard Pique looked like a shadow of himself in recent times. It made many fans forget who he was and what he represents.
Now, when he’s leaving the club, it’s time to remember the good times, and there were plenty. Gerard Pique will forever remain a club legend.
Now it’s time to say goodbyt to one of the last players of the ‘old guard’. Moreover, recent rumors say that Gerard Pique gave up the remaining salary forthe next year and a half. That would reduce the salary bill by a lot, and allow the club to bring new players.
