The captain of FC Barcelona, Alexia Putellas, analyzed her long recovery process from her knee injury. At the meantime, she took the opportunity to attend the microphones of Catalunya Radio and review how she is doing.
“The recovery is going well, I’m happy, the knee responds well, I’m not complaining. Everything is going very well”. Although she made it clear that “I will not put the years that remain in my career at risk. The objective of returning is for me to be able to contribute to the team and be available for the team. When I feel that I am ready I will take the medical test”.
Spain NT controversy
In another order of things, regarding the controversy of the Spanish team, she assured that “it is difficult to explain this conflict when there has been so much information and misinformation. Fortunately or unfortunately the media doesn’t have inside information. The only thing I can say is that logically there is a conflict, we all agree, these are issues that have to be dealt with internally.
The first piece of news I saw that the headline sent me was ‘The captains of Barça request the dismissal of the national team coach’. I can deny it. Firstly, because The Barça captains neither click nor cut, in any case they would be the captains of the team. I am one of them and in the meetings that I have been to this has not been said. I cannot tell you anything else because I continue to affirm that it is a a topic that has to be discussed internally and constructively.”
We all the the same goal, for the women’s team to be among the best in the world. I can’t say anything else because the conversations are internal. A mistake has been made with the intervention of the media. I don’t know who said what. But it ends up being a mess. I think a dialogue has to be built and it tastes very bad to me. But I don’t think the media shoud intervene”.
