Rafa Marquez knows Pablo Torre is too good for Barça Atlétic

Rafa Marquez is enjoying a great start to his life as Barça Alletic coach. The Mexican quickly made his mark on the team. Barça Atlétic are still unbeaten five games into the season. In addition, Barça didn’t concede a single goal in four out of these matches.

The ex-Barça defender spoke to ‘Què t’hi jugues’ on Wednesday about a range of issues, including Pablo Torre. The youngster made his B team debut in the weekend’s impressive win over Real Murcia.

“He is still in the first team dynamic and they make the decisions,” he said. “I am open to using him when he wants to come and play with us. We saw on Saturday the quality he can add to the team. The kid is a great person and a top professional, so the decision will be made from above.”

Marquez added: “I am not counting on him much because from the start I have not counted on him. I have worked with what I have. With what I have, we are OK, but if he drops down obviously he will add a lot to the team.”
