Ez Abde is set for a new contract – Report

According to recent reports, Barça are about to extend the contract of Ez Abde. However, tgere are still speculation linking the winger with a move away.

The 20-year-old might struggle to get game time next season. Ousmane Dembele renewed and both Raphinha and Lewandowski joined the squad.

However, Diario Sport are reporting that Barça plan to renew EZ Abde. They wanted to announce it last week until things got a bit busy at the Camp Nou.

The Catalans want to extend Abde’s contract until 2026 as a reward for his performances last season for the first team and Barcelona B.

There have already been rumors of interest in Abde from La Liga clubs as well as talk the Moroccan could be used in a deal to bring in Jules Kounde.

Recent rumors link Abde to a move to Sevilla as he likes Julen Lopetegui and Monchi. Meanwhile Barça would be happy to use him in the Kounde deal to drive the price down.

Ez Abde is part of the squad in the US tour.  He will get a chance to prove that he still has a room in Xavi’s plans.

Now, Xavi ans the club will look to strengthen the defense. Both Kounde and Azpilicueta are the main names on the table. Moreover, the club will also look for a left back.
