FC Barcelona continues strengthening the future of its academy talents. This Tuesday, the club officially announced the contract renewal of Guillem Víctor until 2028.
The young right-back will remain linked to the club for the coming seasons after signing a new deal that includes two guaranteed years and a third optional season.
The agreement was signed at the club’s facilities in the presence of Andrés Manzano, coordinator of the youth football program, and Sergi Milà, coordinator of 11-a-side football and director of the club’s methodology department.
A full-back with attacking instincts and versatility
Born in Sant Cugat on May 3, 2008, Guillem Víctor is regarded as one of the most promising full-backs currently developing within La Masia.
He is known for his ability to cover the entire flank, combining defensive solidity with technical quality and attacking contributions.
Another aspect highly valued by coaches is his versatility. In addition to playing as a right-back, he is also capable of operating as an interior midfielder thanks to his movement into the box and his comfort on the ball.
Nine seasons at La Masia
The defender joined Barcelona at a very young age after arriving from Júnior FC, when he was still playing in the first-year alevín category.
Since then, he has progressed through every stage of the club’s academy system.
After completing his development in 7-a-side football, he made the transition to the 11-a-side format and quickly began standing out in the higher youth categories.
During the 2024/25 season, he already played an important role with the Juvenil A team despite still being eligible for younger categories.
Captain of Juvenil A and debut with Barça Atlètic
In the current campaign, Guillem Víctor has become a key figure in the team coached by Pol Planes and is now one of the captains of the Juvenil A side.
This season he has played 10 league matches, 7 games in the UEFA Youth League and 2 fixtures in the Spanish youth Copa del Rey.
The young full-back has also already taken an important step forward in his development by debuting with Barça Atlètic.
His first appearance with the reserve team came on November 2, 2025, in a 0–0 draw against Girona B at Montilivi.
Since then, he has played seven matches with the reserve side, starting in five of them — a clear sign of the trust the club places in his development.
Barça secures another academy gem
With this renewal, Barcelona continues protecting one of the brightest prospects from its academy.
The club’s objective is clear: ensure that Guillem Víctor keeps progressing within the Barça structure and eventually takes the next step toward professional football.
Inside the club there is strong belief that the young full-back could become one of the future defenders of Barcelona’s first team.
