He never stands still, watching every detail. Lewandowski has fallen on his feet in the Barça dressing room. But he has worked hard to achieve this.
His rise has caught on very quickly among his teammates, you can see that they respect him and believe in him.
In the European opener vs Viktoria Plzen, the Pole exercised his leadership, which is second nature to him.
For one example, he was quick to encourage Ansu after he missed a chance. The home-grown player looked for the goal with insistence but without reward. Lewandowski was there to calm him and encourage him to keep on trying.
He is constantly talking to the players, supporting them and trying to correct tactical aspects.
Lewy is in constant contact with the youngsters, aware that the road is always long and complicated and they need support. This is especially the case when things don’t work out for them.
One of the things that stands out the most is his ability to drop back and find space. He does so by alerting his teammate with a slight, almost imperceptible movement. This comes from playing a lot of years as a goalscorer.
It is also incredible how Lewandowski positions himself on the edge of the offside line without falling into it. That metre that he gains over rival defenders when they step forward is usually the key to scoring goals.
At the moment, he has already scored eight goals for Barça in five games. A barbaric feat.
