Barcelona fans, take a deep breath — this was one for the history books of the clashes vs Real Madrid.
FC Barcelona pulled off an unforgettable 4-3 comeback win over Real Madrid in a fiery Clásico that left no one unmoved. Despite controversial referee decisions favoring Madrid early on, the Blaugrana showed resilience, passion, and pure quality to turn the match on its head at the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys.
With just three games left in LaLiga, Barcelona now sit seven points ahead of Los Blancos. One more win, and Hansi Flick’s men will officially be crowned champions of Spain.
First Half
The match began in chaos. By the 14th minute, Real Madrid were up 2-0, both goals from Kylian Mbappé. The first came from a questionable penalty after a controversial VAR decision. The second followed a clear foul on Lamine Yamal by Valverde that was ignored.
It felt like another scripted Clásico robbery. But this Barça team doesn’t fold.
In the 19th minute, Eric García pulled one back from a corner. Ferran Torres flicked it at the near post, and García pounced at the far to make it 1-2.
From there, it was all Barcelona. Courtois made three saves to keep Madrid alive, but the Blaugrana attack kept coming.
Lamine Yamal equalized in the 32nd minute with a stunning left-footed strike after a perfect setup by Ferran. Then, just two minutes later, Pedri picked off Ceballos, fed Raphinha, and the Brazilian smashed in the go-ahead goal.
Before halftime, Raphinha struck again. Lucas Vázquez miscontrolled inside his own box, and after a brilliant one-two with Ferran, Raphinha completed his first-half brace. 4-2 at the break. Total madness.
Second Half
Barça thought they had a fifth in the 52nd minute, but Lamine was narrowly offside in the build-up.
Flick made changes as Pau Cubarsí left with a muscle issue. Christensen and Balde came in to solidify the back. Christensen made a key stop to deny Mbappé shortly after.
Madrid did pull one back in the 70th minute, thanks to a giveaway from Iñigo. Modric fed Vini, who squared it to Mbappé for 4-3. The Frenchman now leads the Pichichi race with 27 goals.
Barça responded with flair. Lamine assisted Raphinha again — but this time, the Brazilian skied what looked like a sure fifth goal.
Flick made more changes to manage energy, bringing on Fort and Fermín. The latter nearly scored, but his shot was blocked by Tchouaméni’s outstretched arm. VAR reviewed it, but incredibly, no penalty was given.
Madrid pushed, but Szczęsny stood strong. Even a late disallowed goal from Fermín couldn’t overshadow the Blaugrana’s statement night.
Final Thoughts
Barcelona have now beaten Madrid four times this season — and scored 16 goals against them, more than any opponent has ever managed in one campaign.
Despite referee drama, VAR controversies, and clear missed calls, Barça rose above it all. Hansi Flick’s team showed courage, unity, and fire.
One win away from the league title. Supercopa, Copa del Rey, La Liga almost sealed.
A season to remember.
Visca el Barça.
