Alexia Putellas already touches the ball

The training of FC Barcelona women’s competition this Friday was marked by an anecdotal but very significant image. It was the one of Alexia Putellas doing some exercises with the ball for the first time since she suffered a serious injury to her left knee in the summer.

The year 2022 ended with Alexia Returning to running on the pitch. Now, the month of February 2023 starts with an image that Barça fans wanted to see for a long time. The captain touches the ball smiling in full exercise accompanied by one of the team’s coaches.

Alexia underwent surgery on the cruciate ligament of her left knee last August. At that time no recovery period was set, although it is true that these injuries usually last about a year.

Alexia’s evolution is very positive and she is completing stages satisfactorily. But it is still too early to determine if she will be able to reappear before the end of this season or if it will be for next season.
