Will Dani Alves be a good addition to Barcelona’s squad?

The 38-year-old Brazilian who won 41 career trophies is returning to Barcelona.  He would play basically for free according to many sources. Dani Alves joined Barcelona from Sevilla in 2008, and he formed a strong bond with Lionel Messi, giving him 43 assists. Alves has 101 assists and 21 goals for the Catalan giant. Moreover, he used to play with Barcelona’s current coach, Xavi Hernadez.

He won numerous individual awards in La Liga, including La Liga Best Defender in 2008, five appearances in the UEFA Team of the Year, and eight appearances in the FIFA FIFpro World XI amongst others.

The Brazilian is now 38 years old. People see him as one of the best full-backs of his generation, if not all time. He is known for his offensive abilities, particularly his speed, stamina, overlapping attacking runs, and technical ability, which allow him to play in midfield or as a winger; Alves is also skilled at genuine crossing accuracy and distribution.

Dani Alves was a player of some of Europe’s biggest clubs, including Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain, Juventus, and Sevilla.

The advantages of having Dani Alves in the Barcelona lineup

Dani Alves’ addition to the current Barcelona squad will improve the team’s competitiveness. Barcelona’s competitiveness has plummeted since Lionel Messi departed the club in 2021, and it’s a major setback to the club. One of the reasons for Barcelona’s initial decision to fire Alves was a lack of depth at right-back. But Xavi views him as more than simply another player and wants him in to help in any way he can. Barcelona has spent millions of euros trying to find a substitute for him. But no one has come close to matching his skills.

Nelson Semedo was signed by Barcelona in 2017 and transferred to Wolverhampton Wanderers in 2020. In three seasons with the Spanish giant, he has 2 goals and 12 assists. Sergino Dest was signed from Ajax Amsterdam in 2020. In 54 games, he has 3 goals and 4 assists.

None of them have ever come close to matching Dani Alves’ performance. Barca’s right back will be revitalized if signed.

He will serve as a role model for our young players. Youngsters like Sergino Dest, Oscar Mingueza, Balde, and other La Masia full-backs, will learn a lot from the veteran. Sergino Dest disclosed the Brazilian veteran as his role model when he joined Barcelona. He said “Dani Alves is one of my role models. “I’ve seen a lot of his YouTube videos,” Sergino Dest declared following his formal Barcelona debut. “I want to be like Dani Alves.” I’m always on the move. I’ll do it even if it means additional training.”

He is familiar with the club’s style of play: Dani Alves, who has made 391 appearances for the Blaugrana in his eight years with the club. It proves that he is familiar with the club’s style of play

One of Xavi Hernandez’s best decisions thus far has been bringing Davi Alves back into the squad.
