FC Barcelona fans, we have some disappointing news from Barça Atlètic. The team’s defeat at Andratx not only marked their first setback in the Segunda RFEF this season but also brought more negative updates. Juliano Belletti fielded several top talents who spent the summer training with the first team, including Toni Fernández, Juan Hernández, and Guille. Despite the promising lineup, the expected superiority over a theoretically inferior opponent did not materialize.
This season is expected to be particularly challenging with poorly maintained pitches and many artificial surfaces not in their best condition. These factors increase the risk of injuries, as witnessed with Guille getting injured during the first half. The youngster, proudly wearing the No. 10 for Barça Atlètic this year, was forced to leave the game at halftime after hurting his ankle. Belletti had to substitute him out.
Unable to Continue Past Halftime
Initially, it was thought that Guille was being rested so he could be in the first team squad for Sunday’s match against Valencia. Indeed, that was a genuine possibility, had he not been injured. However, as time went on, the pain increased. According to SPORT, he is expected to be out for about four weeks due to the ankle injury.
Efforts will be made to reduce recovery time, but the priority is ensuring his ankle heals fully to prevent future problems.
