According to @Alfremartinezz, Ousmane Dembele is all set to renew his contract, due to expire in 2024.
With Leo Messi Saga already over, the club will now turn the page and resume the planning for next season. There many things to achieve, and one of them is renewing the contract of Ousmane Dembele.
Last summer, Dembele renewed for 2 years, with a release clause of 100 Million Euros. However, during the month of July, his release clause will be 50 Million Euros. That’s why Xavi and the technical staff are anxious to renew his contract.
According to recent reports, Dembele received the contract offer, and his response was positive. The Frenchman is delighted with Xavi and the club, and he wants to stay.
His contract is expected to be until 2027. Moreover, his release clause will be bigger.
A lot has changed with Ousmane Dembélé in the last year and a half. When Xavi arrived, it looked like Dembele was on the verge of leaving on a free. However, Xavi believed in him, and he earned his place with the club and the fans.
Until his injury, Dembele enjoyed almost 2 years without a major injury as a Barça player. However, him missing 3 months this season raised more questions about his availability.
Next season, Xavi will have the difficult task of keeping Dembele and Raphinha happy and fit. It looks like the coach is clear that he wants to keep both of them.
