FC Barcelona has started planning one of the most important moves of the upcoming transfer window. The future of Robert Lewandowski is once again under discussion inside the club, and Barcelona do not rule out the possibility of the striker leaving at the end of the season.
Although no final decision has been taken yet, the club’s leadership is already preparing different scenarios for the attacking line next season.
At the same time, the sporting department led by Deco has begun analysing possible replacements.

Barça consider Lewandowski’s possible departure
Lewandowski remains an important player in the system of coach Hansi Flick, but the club is also aware that the Polish striker is entering the final stage of his career.
At 37 years old, he continues to provide goals, experience and leadership on the pitch. However, Barcelona’s long-term planning also requires thinking about the future of the number nine position.
According to The Athletic, the club is evaluating the possibility of allowing Lewandowski to leave this summer if a suitable opportunity appears on the market.
It is not a final decision yet, but the debate already exists inside the club.
Julián Álvarez, the big dream
While the club studies Lewandowski’s situation, Barcelona have already identified several potential replacements.
The name that generates the most enthusiasm inside the club’s offices is Julián Álvarez. The Argentine striker is considered one of the profiles that best fits Barcelona’s attacking system.
At the club, they believe his mobility, pressing ability and connection with midfielders would integrate perfectly into Barça’s playing style.
According to The Athletic, there is also a feeling within Barcelona that Álvarez would be interested in joining the project if the operation becomes possible.

Harry Kane also appears on the shortlist
Another major name appearing in the club’s internal reports is Harry Kane.
The English striker remains one of the most complete centre-forwards in European football and his experience at the highest level makes him an attractive option.
However, signing Kane would be far more complicated due to both the transfer cost and his contractual situation.
For that reason, Barcelona continues to keep several alternatives open while waiting to see how the transfer market evolves.
The future of the attack begins to take shape
The decision regarding Lewandowski will shape a large part of Barcelona’s offensive planning for next season.
If the Polish striker remains at the club, Barcelona may look for a complementary attacking profile. But if he eventually leaves, signing a new elite-level number nine will become an absolute priority.
Either way, the club has already started moving behind the scenes as it prepares for the next transfer window.
