The Barca Athletic continues to take shape, after the second consecutive victory achieved against the Athletic B last Saturday (2-0). The three points obtained by Barcelona at the Johan Cruyff were accompanied by another good performance under the sticks from Arnau Tenas. The Culé goalkeeper managed to keep a clean sheet for the third consecutive game. Moreover, Barcelona already gone six games unbeaten so far in the league in group 2 of the First RFEF.
The young Catalan goalkeeper put the lock on the goal against Cornellà in the 0-0 Johan Cruyff three rounds ago. Afterwards, Arnau Tenas put in a monumental performance against Osasuna Promises, in the first victory of Barca Athletic (0-1) after five games without winning. The culé goalkeeper had interventions of great merit so that the Barcelona group took the three points of Pamplona. After the duel vs Athletic, Arnau Tenas has now gone 270 minutes without conceding a goal. The last goal that the goalkeeper conceded was against Sabadell, on October 15.
From the U21 NT to Johan Cruyff
Arnau Tenas landed to play the match against the subsidiary of Athletic after having played 90 minutes with the Spanish Under-21 team a day earlier, in Spain’s victory against Japan (2-0). Since then Arnau Tenas has always been key in the scheme of Barca Athletic, both on and off the field. The captain of the culés has emerged as a fundamental piece for the team led by Rafael Marquez.
The Barcelona leader also knows what it is to progress with the Spanish national team. Arnau has played with almost all categories of the Spanish team, from Sub-17 to Sub-21. Furthermore, he was even called up even by Luis Enrique to replace Robert Sanchez in the friendly match between Spain and Albania six months ago.
