Barca players are getting called to represent their countries at the FIFA World Cup 2022 Qatar.

South American Players

Brazil

Brazil is one of the tournament favourites this year. Brazil’s attack is one of the best in the World Cup. Raphinha was summoned to the Brazilian national team as one of the most crucial players Tite wants as a starter. Raphinha has consistently performed at the highest level whenever he puts on the Brazillian jersey, scoring nine goals in 11 appearances for the Selecao.

Uruguay

Uruguay has called up Ronald Araujo, who had thigh surgery in late September, in a surprise call-up. Araujo is unlikely to play in the three group-stage games, but if Uruguay advances to the round of 16, he may play.

European Players

Spain

There are seven Barcelona players on Spain’s World Cup roster. Among those mentioned are Sergio Busquets, Eric Garica, Pedri Gonzalez, Gavi, Jordi Alba, Ferran Torres, and Ansu Fati. The fact that Luis Enrique did not pick Fati during the last international break might signal that he is beginning to notice development as the season continues. A successful competition could boost Fati’s confidence for the remainder of his season at Barcelona.

Germany

Marc-Andre Ter Stegen will play for Germany in the World Cup, but it is unknown whether he will start. During the first half of the season, he had 11 clean sheets in 14 La Liga games for Barcelona. Germany’s current number-one goalkeeper is Manuel Neuer, but Ter Stegen has been working hard to earn a chance to start for Germany in the World Cup.

France

Didier Deschamps has called up Ousmane Dembele and Jules Kounde for the French national team’s quest to win back-to-back World Cups. Due to Deschamps’ new preference for back-three formations, Dembele will add to their already lethal assault without knowing if he will have the chance. Given his versatility as a right centre-back and right-back, Kounde is likely to start for Les Bleus.

Netherlands

According to Louis Van Gaal, Frenkie De Jong and Memphis Depay will both be essential members of the Dutch national team. They are expected to open the tournament, and Van Gaal has stated that Memphis won’t start the match against Senegal, though he might come on later. De Jong wants to continue playing well leading up to the World Cup.

Poland

That Lewandowski has been chosen for Poland is hardly shocking. He wants to help Poland reach the World Cup’s knockout rounds for the first time since 1982. He is their top scorer all-time, and having him on their team is beneficial, just as he has been for Barca during the first half of the season.

Denmark

Andreas Christensen, Denmark’s best centre-back, will be one of the most important players for the country, which is considered a dark horse in the tournament. Christensen’s inclusion in their squad provides a significant defensive boost due to his outstanding national stage accomplishments.

Loan Players

Even though Sergino Dest recently experienced difficulties at AC Milan, American Coach Greg Belhalter still selected him for the World Cup. Dest will be looking to impress clubs during the tournament to demonstrate that he is prepared to start at right-back for Barcelona or any other team.

Abde Ezalzouli is out on loan at Osasuna, having a season for the Pamplona side. Morocco calling Ezalzouli is a good thing for his development because he might have the opportunity to play in matches of high importance. The experience is enough to help him become a better player when he returns to Barca.

Bottom line

There will be a lot of Barca players in this World Cup. Hoping for the best for them. And most importantly- Stay healthy.
