FC Barcelona continues to study the striker market ahead of next season. With Robert Lewandowski entering the final stage of his career, the sporting department led by Deco is already working on potential replacements to strengthen the attacking line.
One of the names that has appeared strongly in recent weeks is Dušan Vlahović. The current striker of Juventus will see his contract expire on June 30, 2026, and his contractual situation makes him a possible opportunity for several European giants.
According to multiple reports, the Serbian forward would welcome a move to Barcelona if he eventually leaves Juventus.
A signing that could arrive without a transfer fee
As reported by Sport, Vlahović is open to the possibility of wearing the Barça shirt in the future. The striker has not yet made a final decision about his next step and wants to listen to different proposals before committing to a new project.
The major advantage for Barcelona is that the operation could potentially be completed without paying a transfer fee.
If the player decides not to renew his contract with Juventus, he could arrive as a free agent — a scenario that fits perfectly with Barcelona’s current financial limitations.
In the club’s current economic context, avoiding a transfer fee is considered a crucial factor when evaluating any major signing.
A significantly reduced salary
The biggest obstacle in any potential deal is Vlahović’s current salary. At Juventus, the Serbian striker earns around €12 million net per season, a figure that would be extremely difficult for Barcelona to match under the current financial structure.
However, according to Sport, the player’s camp would be willing to negotiate a salary reduction if it helps facilitate the move.
Inside the Barça offices, there is belief that Vlahović could accept a contract worth between €6 and €7 million net per season, complemented by performance-related bonuses.
Such a structure would allow the club to maintain financial balance while still securing a top-level striker.
A long-term project and sporting leadership
Beyond financial terms, the sporting project will also play a major role in the player’s decision.
Reports from Tuttosport suggest that Vlahović’s entourage believes Barcelona could be the ideal destination to relaunch his career.
The Serbian striker wants to play a leading role at a club competing for major trophies and consistently challenging in the UEFA Champions League.
At the Spotify Camp Nou, he would also have the opportunity to gradually become the natural successor to Lewandowski as the team’s main attacking reference.
Juventus still pushing for a renewal
Meanwhile, Juventus have not given up on keeping their striker. The Italian club continues to work on a potential contract extension and has already opened discussions with the player’s representatives.
However, negotiations remain complicated. According to Sky Sport Italia, the financial gap between the two sides is still significant.
If an agreement is not reached, Vlahović could become one of the most attractive free-agent opportunities in European football next summer.
Inside Barcelona, the situation is being monitored carefully. With elite strikers often costing €80–100 million or more, opportunities like this are rare — and potentially decisive for the club’s future attacking project.
