Raphinha is once again at the centre of the market, and this time there is a lot of money involved. Three clubs from Saudi Arabia are willing to enter a strong battle for his signing. Their objective is clear: convince the Brazilian with a gigantic proposal this summer.
This is not the first time Saudi football has tried insistently to take him away from Barça. Last summer, Al Nassr were already willing to offer around €90 million for him. Even Jorge Jesus tried to convince him personally, although the player never wanted to leave.
The new offensive confirms that his status remains very high outside Europe and Barça. His performances, intensity and competitive impact continue to attract major attention abroad. That is why Saudi Arabia are preparing another attack with even more aggressive numbers.
Raphinha does not want to leave Barça
Despite the noise surrounding him again, the winger’s position remains very clear. Raphinha has not thought about leaving Barça or changing his sporting project right now. His idea is still to succeed at the Catalan club and remain important under Flick.
Inside the club, there is also no intention for now to put him up for sale. Barça do not consider him a priority exit or a player to sacrifice at this moment. On the contrary, he is still seen as very useful because of his character and performances.
That detail changes the entire reading of this market story. This is not a player who feels uncomfortable or wants to leave for an irresistible offer. It is a player focused on continuing to compete at the highest level in a Barça shirt.
Barça know money can change everything
That does not mean the club completely ignore such a powerful offensive from Saudi Arabia. In a summer marked by Financial Fair Play, any enormous proposal forces serious reflection. Especially when it involves a player with market value, age and high international status.
Barça want to strengthen several important positions and need margin to move well in the market. That is why a major sale can always alter plans, even when it is not initially expected. This is where Saudi Arabia believe they can find a small opening.
The difference, however, remains Raphinha’s own will right now. The Brazilian has not shown signs of wanting to change scenery or accept such a move soon. His priority remains Barça, European football and consolidating himself fully under Hansi Flick.
Saudi Arabia insist, but Raphinha stands firm
Saudi interest is not surprising because his profile fits these types of operations perfectly. He is media-friendly, competitive, experienced and still a powerful international name. That is why three clubs are already preparing an economic battle to seduce him.
Even so, the message inside Barça seems quite clear with everything on the table. Raphinha is valued, the club do not want to sell him and the player is not thinking about leaving. Saudi Arabia are pushing again, but taking the Brazilian away will be extremely difficult.
