The continuity of Marcus Rashford at Barça is losing strength with each passing day. While no final decision has been made yet, the situation has clearly changed. Inside the club, there is a growing feeling that his recent performances have cooled what was already a complex operation.
The English forward initially showed promising signs in his first appearances. However, his level has declined just when the season reached its most decisive phase. That timing has complicated a potential stay that already depended on multiple sporting and financial factors.

Performance and context raise doubts
The issue is not only his form on the pitch. The broader financial context at Barça plays a major role. The club remains heavily constrained by Financial Fair Play rules, forcing every decision to be carefully calculated.
A significant investment can only be justified with immediate and consistent impact. Right now, Rashford is not providing that level of certainty.
A price that makes everything harder
Manchester United are still demanding around €30 million for the player. Within Barça, that figure is considered too high given his current impact.
On top of that, there is a major salary commitment. The total cost, including amortization and wages, could reach around €25 million per season. That is a serious financial burden for a player who has not fully delivered.
Flick expects more
Hansi Flick is also expecting a stronger response from the player. The final stretch of the season will be decisive for Rashford’s future.
Only a significant improvement in performance could reopen internal discussions. But the window for that turnaround is becoming increasingly narrow.
With only a few key matches left, every performance now carries extra weight. After the Champions League disappointment, the club needs certainty, not potential.
A deal that no longer feels like a priority
Inside the Camp Nou offices, the current feeling is quite clear. Rashford is not completely ruled out, but his continuity is no longer a priority.
Barça need players who can consistently deliver in big moments. Occasional flashes of quality are no longer enough in this context.
