The transformation of FC Barcelona’s stadium is moving at full speed, and the feeling around the club is starting to change. After the partial return from Montjuïc, attention is now focused on a very specific and crucial point of the project.
The third tier has become the absolute priority in this new phase. It represents the next major leap in the redevelopment and is already entering a decisive stage that will define the stadium’s future capacity and structure.
The third tier becomes the key milestone
Work on the third tier is progressing quickly, and several important steps have already been completed. Concrete has been laid, and the next phases are clearly mapped out.
In the coming days, construction teams will move on to waterproofing the new stands, a critical step before visible progress accelerates. After that, one of the most symbolic moments will arrive: the installation of the first seats.
The club’s current plan is to begin placing seats before the end of the season, a milestone that would confirm real, tangible progress. This new tier will add 35,200 additional seats, making it one of the most significant upgrades in the entire project.
Roof structure also takes shape
At the same time, work is not limited to the stands. Another key element of the future stadium is also advancing: the roof structure.
Construction has already started on the 46 pillars that will support the roof, confirming that the project is progressing on multiple fronts simultaneously. This reinforces the idea that the new Camp Nou is not just a concept anymore — it is becoming a visible reality.
Currently, the third tier and the VIP areas between levels are the most advanced parts of the stadium. These sections, especially behind the goals, will define the next major visual transformation in the coming months.
A clear roadmap for the next stages
The club also has a well-defined roadmap for what comes next. After completing this phase, attention will shift to the Tribuna and Gol Sud areas, including their VIP spaces. Later, work will continue on the Gol Nord section.
The final stage of the project will be the full installation of the roof, expected to take around four and a half months. This will be one of the longest and most complex parts of the entire redevelopment.
For now, the message is clear. Barça’s stadium is growing step by step, and the progress is becoming increasingly visible. After the emotional return to the ground, the third tier now marks the turning point — the moment when the new Spotify Camp Nou starts to truly come to life.
