Harry Kane’s name is once again at the center of transfer rumors. The 32-year-old Bayern Munich striker, whose contract runs until 2027, may already be considering the next step in his illustrious career. Among the clubs monitoring his situation is FC Barcelona, which is actively exploring options for a long-term replacement for Robert Lewandowski.
Barcelona Sees an Opportunity
According to sources close to the Catalan club, Barcelona believes Kane could be available this summer for around 65 million euros, thanks to a release clause negotiated when he joined Bayern. His salary, estimated at 25 million euros gross per year, would remain similar to his current deal in Germany. Given Barça’s need for a proven goal scorer, the English striker could be a top-tier option to lead the attack in the coming seasons.
Chris Waddle’s Insight: “Spain Is the Right Move”
Former England international and Tottenham legend Chris Waddle has weighed in on Kane’s potential next chapter. While he understands the emotional appeal of a return to London, Waddle doubts Tottenham would make a move for their former hero at this stage of his career.
“I know it sounds great to imagine Kane going back to Spurs,” Waddle said, “but I’m not sure they would take him at that age and price.” He also questioned whether Bayern would be willing to part ways with their star forward. “Even if another club were interested, I’m not sure Bayern would let him go. They let Lewandowski leave for Barcelona at a similar age, and he kept scoring non-stop afterward.”
Seeking a New Challenge
For Waddle, it’s clear that Kane could soon be looking for something new. “Maybe Harry feels he’s already achieved everything in England, and perhaps soon he’ll feel the same about Germany. Spain, Italy, or France might become appealing options,” he suggested.
When asked which destination suits Kane best, Waddle didn’t hesitate. “The Bayern is huge, but Real Madrid is even bigger. What a story that would be!” he said with enthusiasm. He also mentioned that clubs like Barcelona, Real Madrid, and Milan should all consider him. “Why not Kane? He scores goals, he’s technically gifted, and he can play as a striker or a second forward.”
Spain: A Dream Stage for Kane’s Final Act
If Waddle could personally advise Kane, he would steer him toward La Liga. “If I were Harry, I’d try my luck in Spain before going back to England. His record there already speaks for itself. A new adventure in Spain could be the perfect way to complete his career.”
As speculation grows, the idea of Harry Kane donning either the white of Real Madrid or the blaugrana of Barcelona is enough to make any football fan dream. One thing is certain: wherever he goes next, Kane’s story is far from finished.
