Barcelona fans have reason to rejoice as they welcome promising news on the injury front. Just over 24 hours before the much-anticipated El Clasico against Real Madrid, the Blaugrana are witnessing a significant resurgence in their squad strength. As the final training session unfolds, there is a sense of optimism in the air, with only Sergi Roberto missing from the group.

Raphinha: The Comeback Kid

Thursday marked a momentous occasion as Raphinha graced the training field. The Brazilian winger made a remarkable return to action, fueling hopes that he might just be in contention for the monumental clash. His presence adds a touch of flair to Barcelona’s attacking lineup and could be a game-changer in El Clasico.

Lewandowski’s Determination

One of Barcelona’s most influential figures, Robert Lewandowski, is leaving no stone unturned in his quest to be part of this iconic fixture. The Polish striker, with his scoring prowess and knack for clutch moments, is set to make the squad. His potential inclusion will significantly boost Barcelona’s chances, and fans eagerly await his comeback.

The Quartet’s Return: Frenkie de Jong, Pedri, and Jules Kounde

Friday witnessed a heartening sight for Barcelona loyalists. Frenkie de Jong, Pedri, and Jules Kounde joined the training group, marking their return from injury. However, it is important to temper expectations. While the sight of these key players back on the pitch is undoubtedly uplifting, it remains highly unlikely that any of them will feature in the El Clasico, except for Lewandowski.

Xavi’s Optimism

Barcelona’s head coach, Xavi Hernandez, addressed the media, and the fitness of his squad took center stage. Notably, six players had been grappling with injuries in the lead-up to the El Clasico, but five of them are now in contention to make their return.

Xavi adopted a cautiously optimistic stance. He acknowledged the players’ determination to contribute, but also stressed the importance of avoiding any hasty decisions that could exacerbate their injuries.

Speaking about Lewandowski, Xavi refrained from divulging too much about the starting lineup but assured that the Polish striker was in fine shape.

Xavi’s optimism extended to the broader context of the injured players. Their earlier-than-expected returns have impressed the coaching staff, and the availability of these key figures for selection is nothing short of fantastic news for the club.

He was notably clear in stating that all the returning players were in contention. This statement was particularly remarkable given that only Raphinha had been anticipated to feature.

On the topic of Pedri, Xavi addressed whether there might be mental or physical factors at play given the young star’s injury concerns. Xavi’s response emphasized that there were no concerns on their end, and injuries were influenced by a range of factors.

The Heartening Early Returns

What truly stands out is the remarkable commitment and determination of the players. These athletes, who had originally faced a five-week hiatus due to their injuries, are now back in action after just three weeks. This speaks volumes about their resilience and the unwavering spirit within the squad.

As the El Clasico approaches, Barcelona supporters can breathe a sigh of relief, knowing that their club is regaining its strength. While the starting lineup remains uncertain, the return of these influential players is a source of hope and excitement. Barcelona stands on the cusp of the El Clasico with renewed determination and a stronger, healthier squad.
