Raphinha is again appearing in a very sensitive file inside FC Barcelona’s market. The Brazilian has become a key piece for Hansi Flick in recent months. However, Saudi Arabia are moving strongly again and threatening Barça’s calm.
The Catalan club do not want to open a door considered delicate. His continuity is seen as a competitive guarantee inside Flick’s new project. But the figures coming from the Saudi Pro League force Barça to look.
Saudi Arabia prepare another huge offensive
According to the latest reports, Al Hilal and Al Nassr are targeting Raphinha. Both clubs would be ready to submit an offer close to €80 million. His salary could also be multiplied by four compared to his current deal.
That scenario places Barça in a very uncomfortable position this summer. The board know that such a sale would strongly help their salary margin. However, losing Raphinha would also force them to rebuild a key attacking area.
The Brazilian recently renewed until 2028, showing a clear commitment to the club. His camp has always insisted he feels valued inside the blaugrana dressing room. Even so, Saudi money again tests a decision that seemed closed.
Flick was already decisive before
Saudi interest in Raphinha is not new and already appeared strongly before. The player himself admitted that one Saudi offer made him seriously think. That proposal could have changed his family life, but Flick became decisive.
The German coach gave him confidence, importance and a leading role at Barça. Since then, Raphinha has stepped forward as an offensive leader. His intensity, pressing and mentality perfectly fit the coach’s demands.
That is why the club cannot analyse this operation only economically. Raphinha is not just a winger with market value and strong interest. He is also an emotionally consolidated piece inside Flick’s dressing room.
Barça need money, but also hierarchy
Barça’s financial situation forces them to study any major income this summer. A figure close to €80 million would create margin and accelerate pending operations. But Deco also knows replacing Raphinha would be neither easy nor cheap.
The Brazilian has gone from questioned to essential through performance and personality. His connection with Lamine Yamal and Robert Lewandowski gave Barça many attacking solutions. His work without the ball also separates him from more irregular profiles.
The Saudi Pro League wants players still competing at the highest level. Raphinha meets that requirement and keeps strong international and media impact. Saudi clubs no longer wait for decline before attacking major European names.
The final decision is again Raphinha’s
Inside Barça, they trust the player’s will can stop any external movement. Raphinha’s stance has been firm so far: keep competing in Europe. His renewal until 2028 also strengthens the club’s position in any negotiation.
But the summer will be long, and Saudi clubs work with patience. First, they will try to convince him with an almost impossible salary. Then, if Raphinha opens the door, Barça must face a painful decision.
The club do not want to sell him, and Flick wants him. The dressing room also values his weight, commitment and competitive character enormously. But the market has again placed a huge figure on Barça’s table.
If Saudi Arabia convince Raphinha, the whole scenario could change very quickly. Deco would gain money, but Flick would lose one of his leaders. And that is the twist: Barça may not want to sell, but €80 million can still create a gigantic problem.
Caution note: At the time of writing, there is no official agreement for Raphinha to leave Barça.
