Marc Casadó and Roony Bardghji lose space under Flick and could leave the club this summer.
FC Barcelona have activated two important files inside their exit operation. Marc Casadó and Roony Bardghji have less and less space in Hansi Flick’s plans. The club need to lighten the squad, generate margin and prepare for new signings.
The situation is not exactly the same in both cases, but the background is similar. Both players need minutes, continuity and a role Barça cannot currently guarantee. Deco is already working to find a solution that helps everyone involved.
Casadó, a sale gaining strength
The Marc Casadó case is one of the most delicate because he is academy-trained. The midfielder knows he will not have a leading role next season under Flick. Barça’s midfield is too crowded, and his playing-time margin has reduced enormously.
Pedri, Gavi, De Jong, Bernal, Fermín and Dani Olmo condition any midfield distribution. Casadó offers intensity, work and discipline, but needs continuity to avoid slowing his growth. That is why an exit is starting to look painful, but fairly logical.
AC Milan appear as one of the most interesting destinations for the player. Jorge Mendes is reportedly moving his name in Italy to find a favourable operation. Barça would prefer an important fee, although a loan with option could also appear.
Barça want to protect his value
A Casadó sale would have a very positive economic impact on Barça’s accounts. As a homegrown player, any fee would count almost directly as profit. That is why an operation around €20 million or €30 million would attract Deco.
The club do not want to give him away or lose control without a convincing offer. A formula with variables, buyback clause or future percentage could better protect their interests. The key will be finding a destination where the player can truly compete.
Casadó would not leave because of quality, but because of real squad space. Flick wants clear roles and a less saturated midfield for the full season. If Milan take the step, Barça will listen with huge attention.
Bardghji looks towards the Premier League
The Roony Bardghji situation is also starting to move strongly during this market. The Swedish winger needs minutes and faces enormous competition in his natural zone. Lamine Yamal owns the right side and reduces any immediate continuity option.
Brighton appear as the best-placed club to try to sign him this summer. The Premier League could offer rhythm, demand and a perfect platform for growth. The English club have also worked well before with young talents and projection profiles.
In this case, the most likely formula looks like a loan to keep control. Barça know Bardghji has talent, dribbling and a lot of room to grow. Selling him too early could become a mistake if he explodes away from the Camp Nou.
Flick needs a cleaner squad
Flick does not want to start the season with too many players lacking defined roles. The German coach wants a shorter, intense and competitive group from day one. That forces Deco to make decisions before preseason advances too much.
Barça also need margin to close bigger operations during the summer window. Every exit can release salary, organise the squad and create Fair Play space. Casadó and Bardghji could become two key pieces to unlock the market.
The next few days will be important to see if talks become definitive. Casadó has the Milan route on the table, and Bardghji increasingly looks towards England. The twist is clear: Barça do not only need to sign, they must first sell, loan and clear space to move properly.
Caution note: At the time of writing, there is no official agreement for Marc Casadó or Roony Bardghji to leave Barça.
