Robert Lewandowski’s future remains completely open, and Barcelona know they cannot delay the decision much longer. According to Cadena SER, the club still had not presented him with a formal renewal offer or clear financial terms. That makes his choice much more complicated because concrete proposals are arriving from outside.
The first idea inside Barça is quite obvious: if Lewandowski stays, it will not be under the same conditions. ESPN already reported that the club were open to renewing him, but with a lower salary and a more secondary role. That scenario does not fully convince a striker who still feels ready to lead a major team.
That is why the market around him is heating up again. Lewandowski has not made a final decision, but he now has several powerful routes on the table. And among them, three options stand out above the rest.
Milan and Juventus push hard
The two clearest European exits are still in Serie A. Milan have already been linked with contacts around Lewandowski’s camp, while Juventus also appear as one of the active possibilities for the summer. Italy attracts him because it would allow him to keep competing at the highest level.
In both cases, the Pole would find something Barça do not currently guarantee. He could have a more central role inside the sporting project and continue as a major reference in attack. That is not only about money, but also hierarchy, minutes and status.
That detail explains why the case remains so open at this stage. Lewandowski wants clarity, and Barça have still not given him a final sporting and financial proposal. Meanwhile, Italian clubs are watching a market opportunity that could become very serious.
Saudi Arabia also push strongly
The third powerful route comes from Saudi Arabia, where his name is again sounding strongly. Reports from Poland and Spain suggest Saudi clubs remain very attentive to his situation. From a sporting perspective, it may not be the most attractive path, but financially it is clearly huge.
Saudi Arabia can offer money, status and a final major contract in a growing league. That is why the option cannot be ignored, even if Lewandowski still wants to compete at the highest level. For Barça, that threat adds even more pressure.
There are also other possibilities away from Europe. Chicago Fire have been mentioned from MLS, although the main focus currently appears to be between Italy and Saudi Arabia. That gives the player several routes while Barça continue to hesitate.
Barça must decide now
The conclusion inside the Barça environment is becoming quite clear. Lewandowski has not made a final decision, but he cannot wait forever while other clubs present firm proposals. Milan, Juventus and Saudi Arabia are pushing while Barcelona still have not given him the clarity he needs.
If Barça want to keep him, they must define the offer, the salary and his role quickly. If not, the Pole will have enough alternatives to choose a new destination. His future now depends as much on Flick’s plan as on the club’s next move.
Caution note: this situation is based on reported interest and renewal uncertainty, not an official final decision from Lewandowski or Barcelona.
