History has taught us many things, especially not to doubt Leo Messi qualities, which have been questioned throughout the season. While his numbers aren’t as extraordinary as they used to be, he’s still the same player, still the best in the world. 4 goals in the past 2 games, his form is picking up and it’s benefiting Barcelona a lot.
It took some time for Messi to keep going for various reasons. First of all, he was far from well, mentally & emotionally, after all the things he experienced in the summer. And then he had to adjust to the new ideas & tactics of Ronald Koeman. He is finally smiling now and feels happy again.
Obviously, an improved Barça team has a lot of influence on Messi’s performances. Barcelona became a much more cohesive side w/ great understanding between key players, therefore whenever the other 9 outfield players play at their best, Messi’s performances instantly become more productive & effective.
Messi’s great form is also a result of him playing in a false 9 position. Furthermore, he has the right profiles surrounding him. Pedri, who has telepathic connection with him, Dembele, a winger Messi desperately needs to have on the pitch and Busquets as a single pivot. The better version of Barcelona will bring the best out of Leo Messi.
