According to recent reports, another major club is preparing to test Barça’s resolve. Even so, the Catalan side have no intention of making Koundé’s departure an easy one. The defender is considered a key part of Hansi Flick’s plans.
Tottenham prepare an offer
According to Mundo Deportivo, Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing Jules Koundé and are considering an offer worth around €65 million. The Premier League side reportedly believe the French defender would fit perfectly into their tactical system. Their interest has been growing in recent weeks.
Although the admiration is not new, it could soon develop into a formal approach. Tottenham remain attentive in case an opportunity arises to negotiate with FC Barcelona. For now, no official offer has been submitted.
Barça have no intention of selling Koundé
Despite the interest from the London club, the operation is considered extremely difficult. Inside Barça, there is enormous confidence in Koundé because of both his performances and his ability to play as a center-back or right-back. His versatility makes him one of the squad’s most valuable players.
Deco and the sporting department reportedly have no plans to facilitate his departure. Unless there is a significant change in the current situation, the defender is expected to remain at Camp Nou. He continues to be viewed as a cornerstone of Hansi Flick’s project.
